Vexed Series 2

What a good word to name this comedy series – Vexed.  Came across it while flitting through BBC iPlayer looking for something to watch.  I couldn’t work out whether it was just really badly acted or really well acted to seem as bad as I thought it was. Six episodes later and I’m hooked.   The main characters DI Jack Armstrong (Toby Stephens) with his chiselled good looks and sexist attitude and DI Georgina Dixon (Miranda Raison), attractive and intelligent are very different characters and opposites in their personal lives.  Together they rub along well with the mix of both of their thinking helping to solve crimes each week.  And of course, as it’s a comedy, there are some cringeworthy moments.  Think David Brent as a policeman.

Their ‘office’ is a cafe run by Toby (Roger Griffiths) and their forensics guy is Naz (Ronny Jhutti).  The serious part of me keeps thinking ‘why do you have personal files in a cafe’ then I have to remember IT’S A COMEDY!

It took a couple of episodes to ‘get’ it but now I can’t wait for the next series.  Really like all the characters and look forward to seeing them all again.

Great supporting cast in each episode with some very well know faces.
